I design the public courses with absolute beginners in mind and people who are totally new to QGIS & Geospatial Technology. The course content is focused on specific sectors and utilise data and techniques used in those industries. Bespoke courses can be for any level of experience.

I am based near Bradford, UK. Although I run many courses online you can book a course at a location of your choice (reasonable travel fees will apply).

Yes! All attendees will receive a certificate of attendance.

For both online and in person courses you will need to have downloaded, installed and set up QGIS & the data packet before the course commences. A detailed instructional guide will be sent to you at least a week in advance of the course start date for you to complete this. Ideally you will need a second screen and separate mouse during the training.

Each course is delivered by Claire Birnie, an experienced GIS practitioner with 10 years experience in the Environment Sector. You can expect small class sizes (less than 5) to allow for individual attention and time to ask questions for all courses. You will also receive a fully illustrated step-by-step instructional booklet to assist with post-course learning.

You can use all major credit and debit cards through the online shop function, these payments are handled by Wix payments. Additionally you can use PayPal for your transaction if you wish to purchase through the online shop. If you want to pay by bank transfer please get in contact and I can issue an invoice with details of payment on. All training courses must be paid in full prior to delivery.

I'm going to be honest, that does entirely depend on the course content and the investment required into research, development and creating the course materials. I create fully illustrated step by step guides for each of my courses which are professionally printed (in physical format if required) for you to keep for eternity. These guides are very detailed and valuable to you and your business. I work with you to get a detailed course plan and learning outcomes and once commissioned I get going on research, testing & creating the guide booklets and sample data for you. That being said, you'll still want to know a rough guide on costs before you contact me. Fully bespoke course costs start at £3,500 & a tailored course using one of my existing public courses as a base starts at £1,450. The public courses can also be delivered to a private group for just your team at no extra costs, the standard delegate rate will apply.

Bespoke courses are detailed and created for your needs entirely so as you can imagine they can take a little longer to create. As an estimate bespoke courses require a minimum of a 4 weeks lead time. Please note all bespoke courses are paid in advance.

Use my contact forms, email me or give me a call and we'll discuss what you need. 🗺️ I'll put together a proposal containing the modules and learning outcomes we've discussed and the cost of delivery 👉 If you’re happy to go ahead, I’ll send you over an invoice, contract and we'll agree the date of delivery 👉 Once payment and dates have been sorted I'll get to work on building your course content and additional resources for the day 👉 A week prior to the course I will send the pre-workshop set up guide to make sure everyone has QGIS and the data packet ready to go 🧑‍💻 Then, I'll deliver your course and you'll be a GIS wizard in no time!
