QGIS Training

At Maptastic we are passionate and experienced users of Open Source software and data. QGIS is a professional and freely available open-source Geographic Information System (GIS). It can match the commercial products commonly known in the industry incorporating advanced features for individuals and businesses to utilise location based data.

A quick search online will show many GIS tutorials and training content. However, having the time and energy to find and decipher whether it's right for your needs can be frustrating and you still might not find your answer. Our courses are specifically for professionals working in the Environmental, Conservation, Ecology & Transportation Sectors.

Our CPD Accredited courses are instructor led and are designed to cut through the noise and deliver you the tailored lessons suited to your skill level, career path or interest. Our instructors demonstrate the theory and background of each element, then you'll use our full colour step-by-step exercise booklet to complete each task to embed the knowledge. We provide sample data, course workbooks & exercise booklets for you to keep for future reference.

Below are our defined learning programs which are delivered remotely. We can work with you to design bespoke learning for you and your team or deliver any of our courses at your offices. Our online courses are designed for small groups and are limited to 6 delegates to ensure everyone receives a personal learning experience. We can book your team onto a private session for your business on dates to suit you, use our contact form to let us know your needs.

Maptastic were excellent and we particularly loved how much effort Claire put into tailoring the content to our needs.

Our team have never done any GIS before but it didn’t matter and all our team left with so much enthusiasm for how they can integrate GIS into our work. We will absolutely be using Maptastic again in the future
