On my stand at the Ecology Expo I have a panel with a map of Great Britain and Ireland on. When people come to chat to me I invite them put a dot on the map where they've travelled from. Not everyone put a dot and that's okay, there were many hundreds of delegates on the day so next time I'll try to beat my current total.
I've barely unpacked from the event and I'll be doing a bigger roundup post next week but I just wanted to get the map completed and published.

It's a great conversation starter and then I get to make a map of delegates (coz I love a map).
Stats:
70 different locations
90 dots in total
While the furthest travelled (as the crow flies) award comes from Poland at 961 miles, the furthest travelled with Great Britain and Ireland was someone from Tipperary in The Republic of Ireland at 271 miles. A close second was someone from Glasgow in Scotland at 267 miles. It would be interesting to see the distance by the type of travel too!
Here's the map of where delegates travelled from to attend the Ecology Expo, have a play around!
The map is hosted in my Mergin Maps account and set to public so you can see and share around. I think I'll do this for any event I'm going to now.
